D. Tursunov is a social media user who posted political commentary, including on a Facebook profile reported as “Muhammad Sanjar”. He was arrested upon his return to Uzbekistan on 3 December 2023. He was sentenced by the Namangan City Court to 5 years in prison for insulting the president online and unlawful exit from the country.
