Vladimir Bolobolov
Russian security forces kidnapped Vladimir Bolobolov, a resident of the Moscow region, tortured him for several days while handcuffed to a radiator, and then accused him of possessing explosives. Relatives reported that on August 27, Bolobolov was abducted, beaten, tortured with a stun gun, and forced to confess to "what they already knew about him." Bolobolov was held in an unknown location, handcuffed to a radiator. On August 28, he was taken to his apartment in Reutov, where they searched it without a warrant. FSB officers showed him a homemade explosive device disguised as a power supply, which they claimed they had found in his home. On August 31, despite his lawyer's objections, Bolobolov was detained again after he filed a kidnapping report with the Reutov police and went to a trauma center to have his evidence of torture documented. Bolobololov was placed under administrative arrest for 15 days, and after serving his sentence, he was arrested again. Vladimir is currently being held in a temporary detention facility in Balashikha; tomorrow, the court will decide on his pretrial detention.
